FOR RESORTS & EVENT PLANNERS

Floating pool letters.

Make a statement at the waterline.

Pool displays need more than a word and a color. Send the pool layout, desired letter height and thickness, event timing and placement plan so we can review the finished design for your setting.

A CLEAR BRIEF. A CLEAR ESTIMATE.

What should your project brief include?

Specify whether the lettering must float or sit poolside, the pool dimensions, water exposure duration, requested finish, wind exposure and who will manage placement and retrieval.

Which material and coating should you request?

Unpainted EPS, painted finishes and 3D printed elements are part of our custom workflow. Specialist coatings and performance requirements are reviewed against your brief.

Material / finishWhat it meansConfirm in your estimate
Unpainted EPSVisible foam texture; finishing is left to the buyer.Specify handling, surface expectations and any required foam density.
Painted EPSColor and finish are confirmed with the production proof.Request a compatible latex or acrylic system, smoothness target and color reference. Paint does not by itself establish outdoor or fire-performance suitability.
Polyurea / hard-coat requestA project-specific coating request, subject to feasibility and availability.Specify impact, exposure and reuse requirements. Do not assume a hard coat, structural rating or weather warranty is included.
3D printed elementsCustom geometry and finish, quoted for the intended use.Confirm print material, joins, support, temperature exposure and surface finish in the estimate.

How will the display stand, mount or travel?

Choose the mounting approach you want reviewed. Base plates, runners, stake sleeves and concealed ballast are project options to assess, not standard hardware promised with every sign.

Requested approachPlanning useReview needed
Flat base platesRequest when a discrete base is preferred.Confirm finished height, footprint, floor protection and attachment details.
Continuous base runnersRequest for a row of letters or a multi-piece arrangement.Confirm runner visibility, trip hazards, load paths and assembly access.
Stake sleeves / ground fixingRequest for grass or soil where the venue permits penetrations. The installer must confirm underground services, soil conditions, fixing design and venue permission.
Concealed ballastRequest where ground penetration is unavailable.Ballast amount, concealment and stability depend on the design and site. No universal sandbag weight is specified.

Decorative foam is not a structural rating. Site conditions, fire requirements and any wind-loading or rigging design require approval by the venue and qualified project professionals.

PRODUCTION + FREIGHT

When will it arrive, and how will it be packed?

Pool letters are individually quoted. The estimate confirms material, finish, packaging, shipping and timing. Any anchoring or retrieval arrangement must be approved by the venue; weights, coatings and attachments can change the behavior of a floating display.

Read the shipping policy

Project questions, answered.

Do all foam letters float safely in a pool?

No. Do not assume a standard letter set is suitable for floating use. Ask for a pool-specific review covering the complete finished piece, its coating, attachments, balance, placement and retrieval.

What do custom pool letters cost?

Pool letters are quoted individually because wording, dimensions, material, finish and placement requirements vary. Send your brief for a written price; the standard LOVE or GRAD set price is not a price for a floating pool installation.

How long does EPS foam last outdoors?

There is no fixed outdoor lifespan for every EPS sign. Exposure, finish, handling, dimensions and support all matter; specify whether the display is for a single day, several days or repeat use, and obtain a written material and coating recommendation.

How are 5-foot letters anchored on pavement versus grass?

Pavement may require a reviewed base and ballast arrangement; grass may allow approved ground fixing. Five-foot letters need a site-specific stability and weather plan, so include the surface, venue restrictions and installer details instead of assuming a standard base or stake count.

How fast can a commercial project be delivered?

Production and transit dates are confirmed after the design, finish, file readiness, quantity and receiving requirements are reviewed. A requested rush date is not a guaranteed dispatch or arrival date.

Are crating and freight included in the estimate?

Ask for packing type, packed dimensions, package count, weights, dock or curbside access, liftgate needs and any venue appointment. These are confirmed per project; a commercial RFQ does not automatically include freight, crating or installation.

Can I submit a purchase order or request net terms?

Include your PO process, requested terms and procurement documents in the RFQ. Payment terms, deposits and document requirements must be accepted in the written estimate; a request or uploaded PO does not confirm an order.
